Taylor Martin
​
A 29 year old actress, model, vocalist and poet who was born in Baltimore, MD. She moved to Halifax in North Carolina at the age of 9. She has always had an interest in art and the Performing Arts. She started really pursuing theatre and modeling ever since she was in middle school. She would travel to pursue her dreams of becoming a professional in her chosen career path.
She got a good start at the Lakeland Cultural Arts Center in Littleton, NC. She also performed at churches and other events and programs in the NC area. She also has a huge interest in music, so in high school, she performed in concert band, marching band and choir. When her high school graduation approached, she decided to major in theatre at the illustrious NC Agricultural and Technical State University. After four years of her studies, she accomplished her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Professional Theatre. Throughout college, she received many accolades, including a "Robie", which was the equivalent to an Oscar in her theatre program. She competed at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival twice, one of those times being from her own nomination to compete there because of her stellar mainstage performance of character Blanche Dubois from the play "A Streetcar Named Desire" at her university.
Taylor was featured in a radio interview for the play on NPR with other members of the cast and her director. After she graduated from college, she then furthered her studies at a summer program at the British American Drama Academy in Oxford, England. Eventually, she moved to Atlanta, GA, where she worked as an Extra in several shows and films, including "Black Panther".
Throughout her career as a performing artist ever since her adolescence, she has been in several theatrical performances/plays, fashion shows, photoshoots, photography projects, including a book of photographic art and short films (one that competed in a Canon Short Film Competition). She currently resides in NC and is still pursuing her career of her passions within The Arts!
